Welcome to Wow ArenaThe Wow arena is the the place where the titans of world of warcraft meet. The arena system offers a place where players of the opposite faction or from the same faction, fight it out to prove they are the best. Sound the horn of war to gather skilled allies and create the best team. You will have to choose your teammates wisely because everything matters in the fight: skill, class combination and gear. Players can fight in teams of 2vs2 , 3vs3 and 5v5 . Every fight is a last man standing fight with no time limit. Creating a team requires a fee in gold equal to 40gold pices for each player of the team, so the price of the charter for teams are as follows: *80g =2v2 charter *120g=3v3 charter *200g=5v5 charter
Team Charters can be purchased at the following locations: * The Ring of Trials in Nagrand (65, 59) - "King Dond" * Circle of Blood in Blade's Edge Mountains (52, 41) - Steamwheedle Sam * Gadgetzan in Tanaris (51, 27) - Bip Nigstrom
After you purchase the charter, from any Arena Promoter, your teammates will have to sign it so you can turn it in, at any Arena Promoter. You can choose a Battle Flag and name for the team but you have to be at least level 70 to be able to make a team. You can have only one team for each of the tree types of arena team. You can play training matches or skirmishes even before reaching level 70 but this will not give you rating or arena points. Only rated matches reward you with points on which you can purchase items to improve your gear and increases your chances in the arena. There are items that requires personal or team rating in order for you to buy them. Personal Rating and items that require a minimum of personal rating was introduced in the 3rd season of Arena to discourage team jumping.
Arena matches can be joined from any Arena Battle Master and rated matches can be joined only by teams and as group. Teams will be matched up to fight teams at the approximate same rating as their own. Teams will get in the arenas after they join a queue and will be loaded in a holding area where they can prepare themselves before the battle begins. The spells will have no cost before the battle begins so they can buff without wasting any mana or ability. When the players will join the arena, all their cooldowns on abilities that are lower then 15 minutes will be reseted. Any existing buffs and conjured items from outside the arena will dissapear upon entering. This is to ensure that outside buffs are not used,and that no conjured items from players out of your team are being used.
Pets are dismissed upon entering an arena. Players must re-summon them once entering. Players may not change gear after the arena starts, even if out of combat, only weapons are changeable. No potions and food/water is usable in arena, only bandages, conjured items from a team player that is with you in the arena and the water that can be purchase from Officer Accesories Quartermaster in Champions Hall(Alliance side) and Hall of Legends(Horde side).
Fight! After the countdown expires, the gates fly open and the match officially begins. Use teamwork, coordination, and communication to outplay your opponents! You will have no information about who your opponents are or what their class composition is until the match begins. Death in the ArenaWhen a character is defeated in an Arena match, they'll have the option to run around and "spectate" as a ghost by clicking on the appropriate option in the release spirit window. As a spectator, you can move freely around the arena and view the actions of the "live" players but can't be seen by other players and you can't interact with them. Victory Conditions Every Arena match is a fight until every last opponent is defeated. Players might ressurect their teammates if they are out of combat.
After 90 seconds from the begining of the fight two Shadow Sight powerups will apear on opposite sides of the arena, that will allow you to see stealthed or invisible players at the price of increasing damage taken by 5% for 15 seconds.
One aspect of the Arena System is the introduction of seasons. Every season lasts several months. At the begining of each season you get new items that are created specialy for Arena, with more of resillience and stamina. This epic items can be purchase whit points rewarded for playing arena matches. At the end of each season the best teams are rewarded with some unique prizes such as special mounts, titles, or anything else the season's promoters deem worthy of the best gladiators. The top 0.5% arena teams of each battlegroup recieves a Swift Nether Drake at the end of the season. Beginning with season 7, players will no longer have access to the newest season's weapons or shoulder armor and will not qualify for the Gladiator title/rewards with ratings from the 2v2 bracket alone. Ratings obtained through 3v3 and 5v5 game play will be required for these rewards, while the rest of the newest season's items will remain available to players in all brackets (standard rating restrictions still apply). Your arena points are rewarded once each week from the team that have gained the most points and probably have the highest rating. You keep your arena points at the end of each season for the next season.
