PVP in WoW Cataclysm

Arena Season 7 has finaly begun...but what everybody is thinking now is WoW Cataclysm. We know what to expect from this season, working on strategy, gear, timing to improve our game, we know the abilities from the other classes but we don't have a clue what PVP in WoW Cataclysm will be like.

We all know that this will bring imbalances in the game play, so we are to exepect buffs and nerfs in the upcoming patches, but we know that provides a lot of fun, if your class is overpowerd, or a lot of frustration if your class is being owend in this case arm yourself with a lot of patienc, your turn will come.

Anyway the annoucement of Cataclysm brings a lot of great new thing in the gameplay. The introduction of 2 new races:  the cursed worgen for the Alliance and resourceful goblins for the Horde surely will make things interesting.

Goblins - This expansion was the perfect time to bring the goblins to the forefront and offer more insight into their past, since the catastrophic events of the expansion really hit close to home

Goblin Goblins Racial Traits

  • Pack Hobgoblin (Racial) Instant.  30 min cooldown.  Calls in your personal servant, allowing you bank access for 1 min.
  • Best deals anywhere (Racial): Always receive the best possible gold discount, regardless of faction.
  • Better living through chemistry (Racial) Alchemy skill increased by 15.
  • Rocket Barrage (Racial) 30 yrd range. Instant.  2 min cooldown.  Launches your belt rockets at an enemy dealing 38 fire damage.
  • Rocket Jump (Racial) Instant. 2 min cooldown.  Activates your rocket belt to jump forward.
  • Time is money (Racial) Cash in on a 1% increase to attack and casting speed.

The Goblins have the option to be either one of these classes: Priest, Mage, Warlock, Rogue, Hunter, Shaman, Warrior and Death Knight.

Worgen -  Players have been hoping to be able to learn more about them since Silverpine Forest. This is a great opportunity to explore their lore and the mysteries of the Greymane Wall. The worgen are an aggressive and beastly race, which is something you see often among the Horde races, but is unique among the Alliance races.

Worgen Racial Traits

  • Two Forms (Racial)  Instant. Turn into your currently inactive form.  1.5 sec cooldown.
  • Viciousness (Racial passive) Increases all damage done by 1%.
  • Aberration (Racial passive) Reduces the duration of all Curses and Diseases used against you by 15%.
  • Flayer (Racial passive) Skinning skill increased by 15 and allows you to skin faster.
  • Darkfight (racial) instant. 3 min cooldown.  Activates your true form, increasing movement speed by 70% for 10 sec.

The Worgen has the option to be either one of these classes—believe it or not: Warrior, rogue, priest, hunter, death knight, mage, warlock, and druid.

The new race racials in WoW Cataclysm have received a major buff, and will affect gameplay considerably. All the races in WoW Cataclysm will have their racial traits and racial abilities upgraded to achieve balance.

But something that will bring changes is that that nearly every existing race will gain access to a new class they haven’t before. Some of the new race and class combos include dwarf mage, gnome priest, human hunter, troll druid, blood elf warrior, and tauren paladin.

One of the most  most interesting things will be the Rated Battlegrounds in WoW Cataclysm and the introduction of new Battlegrounds like Battle for Gilneas City and also an entire new zone Tol Barad Island .

The achievement system turned out to be a succes in Wrath of The Lich King so new achivents and titles will surface , and of course Honor titles in WoW Cataclysm and  PVP Guild Achivements in WoW Cataclysm is something we can't overlook.

Blizzard promised to improve how player stats work and simplify statistics, providing a more clear understanding of their effects on healing and damage dealing. Confusing stats like defense and armor penetration will likely go away. Of course, existing items will be updated to reflect these changes.

The new talents in WoW Cataclysm will  make a lot of pepople happy and a brand new Path System will be introduced, that will make character customization more complex and unique. Rather than being practically a clone of every other character out there of your class and race combination, you will be able to differentiate yourself in new and unexpected ways.

  • Attack Power on gear is gone. Instead, some classes will get 2 AP from each point of Agi (Rogues, Hunters, Shamans, Druids), and other classes (presumably Warriors, Paladins, and Death Knights) will get 2 AP per point of Strength. Side effect: no more plate wearers stealing your gear
  • Spell Power is gone. It comes from Int now.
  • MP5 is gone. Spirit is the mana regen stat, and all classes that need it will get some form of Meditation. (Hunters, never fear - you don't use mana any more)
  • Armor Penetration is gone. That one was just confusing.
  • Defense is gone. Tanks are now defense-capped from talents, like Druid tanks.
  • Haste now increases your rate of resource regeneration ( energy, rage, runes, focus).
  • Block Value is gone, but blocks now mitigate a percentage of damage.
  • Stamina is going to be more equal across different armor types - no more "plate HP envy."
A new stat called Mastery will be introduced which ties into a character’s existing talents and will grant a unique function for each class.

Mastery stat on gear will increase the bonuses you receive from the tree into which you've invested the most talent points. It'll also have other passive bonuses depending on your class and spec - for example, Mastery will lower the cooldowns on Ret paladin abilities.

Professions will gain new skill levels (+ 75 skill points) and new recipes, and also some enhancements to existing professions are taken into consideration. For example, they are considering giving tailors the ability to alter certain stats on cloth gear, letting leatherworkers alter stats on leather gear, and so on. They will allow players to gain multiple skill points for completing some tasks. So choosing the right profession will prove to be very usefull for PVP in WoW Cataclysm.

Archaeology: Master a new secondary profession to unearth valuable artifacts and earn unique rewards. Archaeology also plays a prominent role in the path system. As an Archaeologist, you will be able to visit these ruins and study them. In doing so, you will formulate Archaeology Notes, which allows you to research and make new discoveries. This leads to the new character progression, Path of the Titans.

 Paths of the Titans:
    -    Main reward for the paths will be to unlock a glyph called the Ancient Glyph. Themed for the titan
    -    Not part of the inscription profession
    -    The paths are not class specific – there isn’t a “rogue path”, it will be hard choosing the best path for you.
    -    Titan cults have sprung up
    -    Examples of ancient glyphs:
o Bleed Reduction (Rank 1): Reduce bleed effect.
o Bandage Improvement (Rank 2): Bandages are stronger.
o Breakthrough (Rank 3): Increases the damage dealt following a crit strike.
    -    Choose, unlock, and progress down a path
    -    Earn ancient glyphs through Archeology
    -    Trade artifacts for ancient glyphs
    -    Each path has 2-3 choices of ancient glyph per rank

1.Path of Aman’Thul, the High father
 2.Path of Eonar, the Lifebinder
 3.path of Norgannon, the Dreamweaver
 4.Path of Khaz’Goroth, the Shaper
 5.Path of Aggramar, the Avenger
 6.Path of Golganneth, the Thunderer

Important: Everyone eventually gets all their ancient glyphs, and it will not be grindy (as in, you'll earn rewards by doing things, not by doing them over and over again). And there will be a maximum progress you can earn per week.
